Bro. Anthony J. Zanfordino IV, PMP
A current resident of Brandywine,
MD, Bro. Anthony (Tony Z)
Zanfordino IV, was born on January 5, 1970.
He is the oldest son of Jean Zanfordino and Anthony J. Zanfordino III
(deceased) of New Rochelle,
NY.
In his youth, Bro. Zanfordino attended Mount
Vernon, NY and New Rochelle, NY
public school system. Upon graduating
from New Rochelle HS in the class of 1987, he went on to attend Lincoln University, PA. While at Lincoln, he earned a BS degree in Economics
and Finance. In 2005, Bro. Zanfordino
earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Bro. Zanfordino is currently employed as a Program Manager
for VeriSolv Technologies, Inc. He is
responsible for implementing Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) on the network
backbone of a large federal agency.
Previous experience includes working with large telecommunication
companies to implement Wide Area Network for multinational companies.
Tony Z was exposed to Omega in 1987 via Omicron Iota Chapter
located in New Rochelle, NY through their scholarship program and
members of his church. On February 17,
1990- Bro. Zanfordino was initiated at Beta Chapter. Upon leaving Beta chapter the next move was
on to Omicron Iota in 1991. Bro.
Zanfordino than moved to the Third District and joined Psi Alpha Alpha (Fairfax, VA)
from 1996-2006. In 2007, he moved back
into the Second District and joined Tau Lambda Lambda (So. MD Ques).
In Psi Alpha Alpha, Bro. Zanfordino served as Asst. KRS and
Vice-Basileus as well chair or vice chair of several committees. The most memorable Chairmanship was during
their annual New Year’s Eve event for December 31, 1999. As a member of the Third District, he led
their District Achievement Week Committee for 4 years including Vice-Chairman
of the National Achievement Week Committee (2004-06). Bro. Zanfordino was most recently re-elected
KRS for Tau Lambda Lambda which has been a rewarding job. At the 2004 Grand Conclave, Bro. Zanfordino
received the 2003 National Superior Service Award.
Most recently, Tony Z accepted the position of Second
District Chairman for Retention. In this
position, he hopes to follow in the footsteps of previous chairman and motivate
the District to the highest Retention rate in the fraternity. His efforts will include following up with
neophytes from Day 1 and making sure all undergrads are properly transferred to
a graduate chapter upon graduation.
